z3 project *
The Z3 Project takes the sovereignty at the core of Zionism and applies it to the Jewish world as a whole. We believe Jewish communities in both the Diaspora and Israel can lead, shape and build their own future.
Our goal is to empower Jews to not just understand but act on the reality that we are not passive victims being acted upon. We are a people with agency capable of taking ownership of our future and stepping into the responsibility that comes with it. Through our framework and programs, we support leaders and institutions in co-creating Jewish Peoplehood from the bottom up.

Our History
Celebrating 10 Years
Since 2015, the Z3 Project has brought together influential voices from across the cultural, educational, religious and political spectrum. We create spaces for dynamic debates, enriching learning experiences and personal exploration of Zionism and Jewish life today. Positioned within the JCC movement in North America, we provide a non-religious, multi-generational platform for Jewish engagement, offering diverse services, events and community experiences.
Our APPROACH
How We’re Achieving Our Goals
For the first time in Jewish history, there is both a strong Jewish Homeland and a strong Jewish Diaspora. This raises fundamental questions about our Jewish future. What will the relationship between these two thriving centers of Jewish life look like? Will there even be an intersection, or will two separate and distinct Jewish populations and cultures develop over the next several generations?
Recognizing this important moment and the opportunities it brings, our three main initiatives exist as different approaches to achieving our vision:
The Z3 Institute for Jewish Priorities
A think tank that nurtures impactful ideas and empowers Jewish thought leaders, generating ideas that work towards benefiting both local and national communities.
The Z3 Conference and Events
Our annual conference and local events amplify critical conversations, bringing together community leaders and members to explore the most pressing issues facing the Jewish world.
Z3 Leadership Labs
We train Jewish professionals across the country, including JCCs, non-profit organizations, Jewish advocacy groups and more, to integrate the Z3 approach into their communities, fostering resilience, identity and connectivity. With a tailored approach to each group’s specific goals and challenges, we’re training professionals on how to facilitate conversations around modern Jewish identity and Zionism in their organizational context. Beyond workshops, we continue to support our alumni with ongoing engagement.
We strive to build a more secure and vibrant Jewish future by creating a robust ecosystem of ideas, leaders and communities. Join us as we work together to shape the future of Jewish life, grounded in pride, resilience and a commitment to our shared destiny.
Our Operating Principles
UNITY, NOT UNIFORMITY
The Z3 Project aims to honor our differences while working for the oneness of the Jewish People.
ENGAGING AS EQUAL PARTNERS
The Z3 Project brings together Israelis and Diaspora Jews to build our common future.
DIVERSITY OF VOICES
The Z3 Project convenes Zionists of differing backgrounds and perspectives across the political and religious spectrums.
