Bret Stephens

Bret Stephens has been an op-ed columnist for the New York Times since April 2017. He came to the Times after a long career with the Wall Street Journal, where he was foreign-affairs columnist and deputy editorial-page editor, and where he won a Pulitzer Prize in 2013. Prior to that, he was editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post. He was raised in Mexico City and educated at the University of Chicago and the London School of Economics. He and his wife, Corinna, live in New York City and have three children.
