Charlie Covit
Student, Harvard University

Charlie Covit is a sophomore at Harvard College studying Modern Middle Eastern studies and Economics. He grew up in New York City and spent his gap year living in Jerusalem. Charlie speaks Hebrew fluently and can read and write in Arabic. He has also spent time volunteering in the Palestinian Territories in the West Bank, studied Arabic in Morocco, and has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and the world (to nearly 70 countries!). His writing has been published in The Harvard Crimson, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and The Times of Israel’s blogs; he has appeared on CNN, Fox, NewsWeek, and more; and he has been a guest on Eylon Levy’s State of a Nation and Dan Senor’s Call Me Back podcasts. Charlie is also the president of the Harvard Israel Initiative.
