Morey is the model of a bridge builder. As president of the Union of Councils of Soviet Jews and president of the Bay Area Council for Soviet Jews Morey was a key leader in the battle to free Soviet Jews. Morey is now spearheading the effort to create the Soviet Jewry Movement Archives Project. The completion of this effort will insure that future generations will know the history and power of this revolutionary movement. Awarding Morey this recognition will go a long way to insure the success of this vital effort.
